EuroBonus ChangeMakers is SAS's activity programme in which ten completed actions within a calendar year earn 5,000 Bonus points, 5,000 Level points and a digital badge on your profile. Every EuroBonus member is enrolled from day one, at any membership level, and the counter resets on 1 January.

## What is EuroBonus ChangeMakers?

[SAS describes ChangeMakers](https://www.flysas.com/en/eurobonus/changemakers) as a menu of actions connected to what the airline is already doing to reduce aviation's environmental impact: alternative aviation fuel (SAF), charity donations, less food waste on board and electric cars at the destination. You choose which actions to take and in which order, and some of them can be repeated.

The programme was called Conscious Traveler until 15 June 2026, when [SAS renamed it EuroBonus ChangeMakers](https://www.sasgroup.net/newsroom/press-releases/2026/sas-renames-conscious-traveler-to-eurobonus-changemakers/) to tie it more closely to EuroBonus.

There is no separate sign-up. If you are a EuroBonus member, actions count automatically, and SAS states that your membership level makes no difference to taking part. Your progress is shown in your EuroBonus profile.

## Which actions count?

Five actions earn ChangeMakers credit today. Two of them are capped per calendar year, and the other three can be repeated as often as you like.

**The ChangeMakers actions and how they are counted**

| Action | Counted on | Max per calendar year |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Watch SAS's sustainability video | The day you finish watching | 1 |
| Add SAF to a booking | The departure date of the first flight in the booking | No limit |
| Donate EuroBonus points | The donation date, one action per 5,000 points | No limit |
| Opt out of the inflight meal | The departure date | 3 |
| Rent a fully electric car through SAS | The rental start date | No limit |

*SAS writes that new actions will be added over time, so the list may grow.*

Each action has a condition that decides whether it is registered:

- **SAF** is added at booking or later under "My trips". Every EuroBonus member in the booking earns one action each on the departure date, regardless of how much fuel was bought. SAF cannot be added to trips booked with Travel Pass, and it cannot be registered retroactively.
- **Donations** count per 5,000 points. A single donation of 10,000 points gives two actions, while five donations of 1,000 points give none.
- **The meal** is declined in the SAS app up to 24 hours before departure, and your EuroBonus number must be in the booking.
- **The electric car** must be rented through SAS, online or in the app under "Travel & services", for at least two days. SAS says it can take up to 14 days for the action to appear in your profile.

For every action except SAF the same rule applies: you must be logged in, or have your EuroBonus number in the booking, at the moment the action is taken.

## How do you reach ten actions?

Start with what costs nothing. The video gives one action, and three declined meals give three more. That puts you at four without spending a single point, and the remaining six have to come from SAF, donations or car rental.

SAF is the most realistic route for anyone who flies SAS regularly. The action is counted per member in the booking, not per booking, so if you travel with family members who are all EuroBonus members, each of them earns their own action from one SAF add-on. Add SAF to every SAS booking through the year and the last six slots fill themselves with trips you were taking anyway.

Donations are the one uncapped action that does not require a trip, but donate because you want to give, not for the points:

- **0 points** — for the video and three declined meals (four actions)
- **50,000 points** — donated for ten actions (ten donations of 5,000)
- **5,000 points** — Bonus points back at ten actions (plus 5,000 Level points)

The arithmetic is plain: ten donations send 50,000 points out to bring 5,000 back in. A donation is worth it for the cause, not as a points strategy. Use it to fill the last one or two slots in a year where you would otherwise stop at eight or nine.

> **Tip**
>
> Check that your EuroBonus number is in the booking before departure. Both the SAF action and the meal opt-out are registered on the departure date, and a missing number cannot be corrected afterwards.

## When do you get the points?

Actions are counted within the calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December, and it is the date you complete the action that counts, not the date it appears in your account. The travel date, the donation date and the day you finished the video are what matter.

Once the tenth action is registered, you become a ChangeMaker for the rest of the year. The badge appears on your profile, the 5,000 Bonus points and 5,000 Level points are added to your EuroBonus account automatically, and invitations to selected events are sent by email. You can keep taking actions after the tenth.

> **Did you know?**
>
> An action completed in December but processed in January counts toward the year it was completed in. If it becomes your tenth, you receive the badge and the points for the old year even though the new one has already begun.

The points are added to your balance like any other Bonus points. To see what they cover, [search for award seats](/sok) on the route you have in mind, or read how to [use EuroBonus points with the SkyTeam partners](/artikler/bruke-eurobonus-poeng-skyteam). An [alert](/verktoy/varsler) tells you when the seats appear.

## Frequently asked questions about EuroBonus ChangeMakers

### How many ChangeMakers actions do I need to earn points?

Ten actions within one calendar year. You then receive 5,000 Bonus points, 5,000 Level points and a digital ChangeMakers badge on your EuroBonus profile. The counter resets on 1 January, and you can qualify again every year.

### Do I have to sign up for EuroBonus ChangeMakers?

No. Every EuroBonus member is enrolled automatically, at any membership level. Actions are registered as long as you are logged in or have your EuroBonus number in the booking when the action is taken, and your progress is shown on your profile.

### Do small donations of EuroBonus points count as a ChangeMakers action?

No. Each donation must be at least 5,000 points to count as one action, and 10,000 points in a single donation gives two. Five donations of 1,000 points give no action at all, even though the total is the same.

### How many times can I opt out of the inflight meal?

Up to three times per calendar year. The meal is declined in the SAS app up to 24 hours before departure, your EuroBonus number must be in the booking, and the action is registered on the departure date of the flight.

### Does ChangeMakers affect my EuroBonus membership level?

SAS states that ChangeMakers does not affect your membership level, and that members at every level can take part. The reward at ten actions nevertheless includes 5,000 Level points on top of 5,000 Bonus points, added to your account automatically.
